empty Heart Strings - Just T-Shirt Quilts

Heart Strings

This is baby Kameron on one of 3 quilts made for Mom.

Such a joy to be around. Here Kameron reached a baby milestone having just learned to roll from front to back and front again.  She repeats it over and over. Each time giggling. As if she can’t believe she did it.

Mom and Dad are no longer together.   Though divorced, Mom unselfishly cared enough to create the memory quilt. Baby girl will know Dad’s in the Army. He’s athletic. He plays basketball and loves the Oklahoma City Thunder.

She’ll outgrow the baby clothes.  The memory quilt… she’ll grow in to. It will last a long time.

Just want to hug her in it and not give her back.  She continues to tug at my heart strings.

Thanks Tawanda.  What’s your vision?

Here you can also see the back of the quilt which is a yellow super, soft minky fabric. The binding is the thin strip of blue. Right behind baby to the right you can see where an actual part of the uniform was used in the quilt. We left the ties, zipper, and velcro for play and practicing fine motor skills!
