A long-arm quilting machine is a special sewing machine that is used to create the decorative stitching that holds all of the layers of your quilt together. There are at least 3 layers that are quilted together all at once, and the stitches show on the top of your quilt and also on the back. Long-arm quilting is used on all styles. In addition to being decorative, long-arm quilting prevents shifting and puckering of the layers during use. Quilting makes a quilt, a quilt!

There are thousands of stitch patterns and we’ll help you find one that you like. The stitch pattern is the design that is quilted through all layers. A simple pattern has less detail and requires less time to quilt than one that is more detailed. Here are some simple designs that are in stock. When you hover over the picture you’ll see a number that we’ll need if you’ve made a selection from there. There are more in stock patterns that we already have to browse under digital quilting.
Feel free to browse other sites to see if you see something else you would like for your quilting. The fee for these is the cost of the pattern—unless we already have it–plus the cost for the quilting based on square inches. This ranges from .22 to .36 per square inch based on the overall size of your quilt.
When browsing, it can help to search using a keyword, i.e. trees. It doesn’t hurt to come up with your top 2-3 and we can let you know for sure if it will work and if there will be an additional cost. Many of the designs that we use come from these sites.
