The 2023 Annual Gala of Georgia Lawyers for the Arts. is upon us. The art is always amazing. The sponsor list is very impressive. Go if you can. We are happy to donate 2 quilts, Ebony and Ivory, to contribute toward fundraising. About The Black Quilt, Ebony This quilt was crafted in Marietta, GA, by Kyle, Adriana, and Sarah. It’s “Shirtless” in that there are no t-shirts !  The size is 51 x 68”. We used high quality quilting compatible materials and thread.  The center, and binding are made from black Kona cotton. The back of the quilt is Shannon minky polyester. The middle layer that you can’t see is batting by Hobbs.  It is 80% cotton, 20% polyester.  The border is made of Timeless treasures cotton fabric. Vintage law fabric is included in each corner. The all over long arm quilting is the scales of justice in a gold polyester thread. The binding was hand sewn, for a professional finish, to the back of the quilt. Overall, the quilt took 18.30 hrs. to make by our experienced quilters. The White Quilt This quilt was also crafted in Marietta, GA by Kyle, Adriana, and Sarah. It’s “Shirtless” in that there are no t-shirts !   The size is 43 x 62”.  We used high quality, quilting compatible materials and thread. The center and binding are made from polyester satin. The border and the back of the quilt are Kona cotton. The middle layer, batting, is 80% cotton, 20% polyester.  Vintage legal fabric is included in the corners. The all over long arm quilting is the scales of justice. This is the first time we’ve made a satin binding. It was hand sewn, for a professional finish, to the back of the quilt. Skilled quilters constructed the quilt which took 16.98 hrs. to make. Both quilts are available through the auction. Contact us for consideration if you have a non profit.
